Consider the Source, the incredible power trio from NYC, accurately describe their genres (plural) as “sci-fi, Middle Eastern, progressive, psychedelic, jamband, funk, fusion.” That’s a good start, in any event.

Their next tour (after the New Year’s Eve blow-out with The Disco Biscuits) begins in February, covering the Northeast, into the South and finally to Texas. Their latest album, World War Trio (Parts II & III), was released in June. It is a superb recording, an true snapshot of a band skyrocketing to the top.
