By now we should all be aware of the pervasive nature of fake news. Most of us know it’s all around us. So hard to sort out what’s true and what’s not.
Take this case, for example. There is a musician who sings like Gregg Allman, Warren Haynes and JJ Grey, plays the Hammond B3 steeped in the blues tradition, and shreds on the guitar with the best of them. And this man claims to be only 30 years old. Actually, that’s not true, either. He boldly proclaims he is 29 and will turn 30 on Wednesday, December 7th.
What a ridiculous story. There is no way Tony Tyler is turning 30 tomorrow. I mean, c’mon, there’s just no way. Is there?
Wait! What? He really IS 29 right now?
Well, you can believe that if you want to. Better yet, head to the 5 O’Clock Club in Sarasota Wednesday night to see for yourself. Come Back Alice is throwing a birthday bash for him, and you’re all invited. Show starts at 10.
30? Ha! Maybe in hexadecimal!
(48 is a lot more like it, I say. I wonder if Dani knows?)
