Roosevelt Collier has been busy all summer long bringing his music and special collaborations to venues and festivals all over the country, including a splendid “home game” at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak FL for Roosevelt Collier’s Summer Splashdown.

He has six very special gigs lined up for September and October, with more likely in the works. Of special note are three shows titled Jimi Meets Funk, Paying Homage to Jimi Hendrix. These will all feature his incredible trio with Matt Lapham on bass and Anthony AC Cole on drums and vocals.

The trio gets warmed up on September 9 at Will’s Pub in Orlando for their 21st Anniversary Month show, also featuring Brown Note and Guests (Roland Simmons, guitar, Lapham and Cole). You should anticipate a lot of collaborations.

Then Roosevelt, Lapham and Cole get down to business in South Florida with the Hendrix tribute on three consecutive nights. Thursday, September 15, the boys play at Churchill’s Pub in Miami. The Friday show is at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, and on Saturday they travel to Delray Beach for a show at Arts Garage.

The jam moves to Philadelphia the following Thursday (October 20) for Roosevelt Collier’s Philly Get Down at Ardmore Music Hall, featuring members of Snarky Puppy, Lotus, and Dopapod.
