Initial Lockn’ Lineup Just Announced!

We have learned to expect the unexpected. We were not expecting the change of Lockn’ dates from September to August 25-28 (Arrington VA), but we took it in stride. And now we get the initial lineup announcement, minus some familiar names, plus some familiar names.

Phish, Ween, My Morning Jacket, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Charles Bradley, Brandi Carlisle, Gary Clark, Jr, Galactic, Keller’s Grateful Gospel, Keller’s Grateful Grass, Lettuce, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Turkuaz, Twiddle, Umphrey’s McGee, Vulfpeck and White Denim will all be heading to Oak Ridge Farm for Lockn’ 2016.

Already, online comments have ranged from “This is the best lineup of 2016!” to “What a letdown!” General acknowledgment is that “there is a different vibe this year.” Optimists hold hope in the last line:

This is February. Lockn’ is in August. That’s half a year away. If this lineup is even more than you hoped for, awesome! If you were expecting more of the “old” vibe, give it a little time. Chances are Lockn’ will come through for you, too!
